CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The Department of Chemistry, University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus is hosting its first “Biennial Regional Conference and EXPO on Chemical Science, Technology and Industry”. The conference will be held at the UWI St. Augustine campus, May 22 – 24, 2019. The theme of the conference “Chemistry and Chemical Technology for a Sustainable Development of the Caribbean” underscores the main objective of the Conference and EXPO to demonstrate applications of Chemical Sciences as drivers for innovation and technology development.  


It will gather local, regional and international technologists, researchers, chemical/biomedical engineers, technocrats, policy makers and students. It will discuss the latest research, innovation and applications of the Chemical-related Sciences being conducted regionally within the global context and sensitize the wider Public on these as enablers of sustainable economic development of the Caribbean. The programme will feature distinguished plenary speakers, oral and poster presentations. Abstracts submissions are now open for the oral and poster presentations.
