Acolla Lewis-Cameron, PhD is currently Senior Lecturer and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine, Trinidad. She is also the Chair of the Tourism Standing Committee for the Strategic and Sustainable Development of Tourism in Trinidad. Her educational achievements include an MSc. Hospitality and Tourism Education from the University of Surrey, UK, and a PhD in Tourism Education from Brunel University in the UK. Lewis-Cameron's teaching experience in tourism planning and policy and marketing, and her research and consultancy in the above areas have provided an all-round understanding of the industry. She is the lead editor of text, Marketing Island Destinations: Concepts and Cases and co-author of the text Caribbean Tourism: Concepts and Cases.
