She is also the Chair of the Tourism Standing Committee for the Strategic and Sustainable Development of Tourism in Trinidad. Her educational achievements include an MSc. Hospitality and Tourism Education from the University of Surrey, UK, and a PhD in Tourism Education from Brunel University in the UK. Lewis-Cameron's teaching experience in tourism planning and policy and marketing, and her research and consultancy in the above areas have provided an all-round understanding of the industry.
