Her research and teaching interests include the following:  Race and Racism, Labor &amp; Labor Movements, Global &amp; Transnational Sociology, Political Economy, Sociology of Development, Political Sociology, and Comparative &amp; Historical Sociology. Specifically, she examines how working people shape state-building and long-term economic and social development in the Global South.
