Professor Elizabeth Walcott-Hackshaw

Professor Elizabeth Walcott-Hackshaw

Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Education

Professor Elizabeth Walcott-Hackshaw is a Trinidadian writer and Professor of French Literature and Creative Writing at The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine, where she currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education. Her work spans scholarly and creative fields, and she has co-edited several publications. In 2024, she was awarded the title Officier of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the Government of France.

Professor Martin Munro

Director, Winthrop-King Institute

Professor Martin Munro is an Eminent Scholar and the Winthrop-King Professor of French and Francophone Studies. He specialises in Francophone Caribbean literature and culture and has previously worked in Scotland, Ireland, and Trinidad. He currently directs the Winthrop-King Institute for Contemporary French and Francophone Studies at Florida State University.
