The Ministry of Health Trinidad and Tobago; Faculty of Medical Sciences & Caribbean Centre for Health Systems Research and Development, The University of the West Indies; The University of Trinidad and Tobago; The University of the Southern Caribbean; and the Regional Health Authorities are collaborating to host the country’s 2nd National Health Research Conference on November 18 and 19, 2021. 

The theme of the Conference,Building Resilience through Research in a Pandemic, enables the dissemination of research evidence on the health priorities of the country, as well as the development of evidence-informed policy and programming, aimed at improving the health outcomes
of the population.

The 2021 National Health Research Conference will be held virtually using Hubilo, an exciting, innovative, and interactive online platform. The Conference will also feature a 3D Poster Hall



Main Objectives

  1. To share research findings with key stakeholders (care providers, Ministries, RHAs, Academic Institutions, general public, etc.) 
  2. To strengthen the national health research culture.
  3. To build research capacity and nurture junior researchers.
  4. To foster collaboration among researchers at different institutions.
  5. To share policy relevant messages with the users of research, that is, care providers, policy makers and planners.
