Andre Witter is a dynamic leader, advocate, and researcher within Jamaica’s Deaf Community. Born in St. Elizabeth to Deaf parents, he brings a deeply personal perspective to his work, shaping his commitment to advancing accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for Deaf individuals across the Caribbean.

As the CEO of Ready to Sign, Andre leads initiatives that provide professional Jamaican Sign Language (JSL) training and interpreting services, supporting organizations in building more inclusive and accessible environments. His work bridges communication gaps and strengthens engagement between Deaf and hearing communities.

Andre is widely recognized for his dedication to youth empowerment, mentoring Deaf individuals to develop leadership, confidence, and advocacy skills. He has collaborated with various organizations to promote awareness, cultural understanding, and meaningful inclusion.

In addition to his leadership and advocacy, Andre is an active researcher in Sign Language and Deaf life in the Caribbean, contributing to the growth of regional knowledge and representation. He is also a published author of a Jamaican Sign Language book, playing a key role in preserving and advancing JSL and Deaf culture.
