Dr. Corent McDonald


Corent J. McDonald (PhD) is an adjunct lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona, in Organization Development, Management of Change, Organizational Behaviour. Her research interests include an exploration of postcolonial influences on contemporary Caribbean organizations, the pressures placed on these organizations to change and how these factors influence the psychology of organizational members. Corent is the Chapter Manager for the Mixed Methods International Research Association, Caribbean Chapter and Associate Editor for the Caribbean Journal of Education Special Edition for Transformational Research Conference. Corent earned her PhD in Organizational Behaviour from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She earned an MBA from University of Salford, Manchester, England and BA from University of North London (now London Metropolitan University), in Tourism Management. At the University of North London, she was actively involved in the Tourism Society and the development of new programme offerings for international students. Corent functions as a Process Consultant and Organizational Psychologist in organizations wherein she builds relationships and collaborates with organizations to perceive, understand, and act on various activities in their environment. She is passionate about the psychological health and well-being of organizational members and how this affects the ability of the organization to thrive. Corent has worked for over 25 years in corporate Jamaica and UK in strategic marketing, planning and competitive analysis.
